PDB Chanter Reed

G1 Platinum reeds are made solely by John Elliott of Scotland, using a combination of traditional and innovative techniques producing a precision reed. The Platinum reeds are crafted to a higher standard than the regular G1s. Each tube of cane is personally hand selected and only the best are deemed acceptable for G1 Platinum's supreme standards. The cane is sourced from top cane growers in France and Spain depending on the season. It is then treated and prepared in a highly skilled process. All reeds are pre-tested and individually tested.  

Chesney Pipe Chanter reeds are a very popular reed. These reeds are a ridge cut. Chesney reeds are played by some of the worlds leading pipe bands. They are comparable to the Megarity reed. Formerly known as the Warnock reed.

The Broadley chanter reed is a popular choice for players of all levels and abilities. It is easy to set up, responsive and vibrant, offering a ‘plug and play’ type feel. Used by bands and dedicated soloists who are looking for vibration and warmth. This reed will go well in most pipe chanters on the current market.
