Broadleys Blackwood Pipe Chanter

This s Broadley Legacy pipe chanter is designed to achieve a pitch range of 475-479hz. Great for individual players or bands wanting to play at this pitch range, excellent for bands that have the desire to compete. It offers projection and stability for the bands that want to achieve this pitch, whilst the hole sizes and positions ensure it is easy enough to play for most players.  

This Broadley B flat pipe chanter chanter is designed to achieve the desired pitch of around 440(466) Hz – great for playing along with other instruments either as an individual or as part of a pipe band.

McCallum MacRae Blackwood Pipe Chanter - The MacRae pipe chanter was developed with accomplished PM Stuart Liddell. It's a beautiful bright chanter, but doesn't pitch too high. According to Stuart, "I’m delighted how it’s turned out, with a stable piobaireachd high G and solid F, and vitally, it suits a wide range of reeds." The holes are moved up slightly from a Ceol chanter and are ever so slightly smaller, mainly on the top hand. The detail on the bowl and the contoured shape are subtle but distinctive. Introduced in 2025.
